Detox Tea Recipe

I absolutely love this tea and hope you will as well. It is herbal and can be made from ingredients right in your pantry.


This team promotes:

  • Anti-inflammatory action

  • Gut health

  • Better absorption of nutrients

  • Flushing of ama (toxins)

Most importantly, it is absolutely simple and has 3 ingredients.....well 4 if you count water.


You can enjoy this tea daily and its benefits are enhanced when it is consumed on an empty stomach.


I have provided some links with the names of the herbs below. These are not my recommended brands, but serve to offer a visual on what these ingredients look like so that if this is your first time working with these, you have some context.


Ingredients:

1. Cumin seeds 1/3 tablespoon

2. Coriander seeds 1/3 tablespoon

3. Fennel seeds 1/3 tablespoon

4. Water 8 to 10 oz depending on taste


You can eye ball the measurement of the spices. Many people also opt to premix equal parts of the three spices in a mason jar and then take 1 tablespoon of the premixed herbs with water.


Recipe: Make the tea with the ingredients mentioned above. You your preferred mechanism of brewing the tea. Here are three options:

Put all ingredients in a pot and bring to boil. Sieve and enjoy

Put all the herbs in a tea infuser Put the infuser in boiling water Let it steep for 5-7 min before enjoying

Put the herbs in a kettle with water and let the water boil Strain and serve

Feel free to use your own mechanism for brewing. There is no wrong way to brew the tea!
